This is ideal destination for those who want to get away from the flurry of the city and truly relax.
Numerous bays with beautiful pebble beaches strech along the southern side of the island. Suplja stina and Lucisce near Sveta Nedjelja, Jagodna, Paklina, Petarcica, are only some of them.
The town of Jelsa is first big centre where one can find bank, post office, pharmacy, first aid, petrol station as well as a mini markets and lots of bars, clubs and restaurants. Stari Grad with the main islan ferry port with direct lines to Italy, Dubrovnik and Split is 25 km away. Untill the summer 2009. new road to Stari Grad and Hvar town as most popular destination on the island will be build. Hvar will than be only 20 mi drive away and ferry port 15 minutes.
